The bible got its name because as the British ransacked the print shop they used numerous bibles as wadding for their rifles when loading ammunition. Saur escaped with only a small amount of the newly printed bibles which if complete are very rare. This original leaf, is accompanied by a color copy of the title leaf as well as a COA. Each original leaf, like the one pictures, is in Fine condition with even toning and in German Fraktur, being from the bible of Martin Luther. Measures 8 x 10". Give a Gift of History!
