Promote your other items - FREE from Vendio. Antique Ivory Cased Set 5 Thread Spools c 1830 Extraordinary set of 5 decoratively carved ivory thread spools cased in an intricately carved ivory case. The 4 3/4" tall case generally resembles a barley corn, but far more intricately patterned. The bottom has carved designs resembling the spools. The top of the lid has been polished, perhaps to remove discoloration. The tight fitting cap screws off to reveal the stack of five matching carved ivory spools, each 3/4" tall and 5/8" in diameter. No chips or cracks found on any piece. A very unusual set.
