Early Antique PA Blue White "Homespun" Child's Farm Dress Straight from a Berks County farm estate, this wonderful old blue and white "homespun" cotton child's dress, with just the right amount of wear. My favorite part is its clever adjustability. The very full little dress folds down and ties in back, as shown. A testament to the local Penn Dutch sense of thrift, the dress will gradually expand as the child grows and the folds are opened. This little girl might have worn this dress from 2 to 5, tied at the different widths, depending. Dress is nicely trimmed off with a fancy but sturdy white edging. Tiny MOP buttons in back. Hem is faced with a different blue and white check. Measured flat across the front: shoulders: about 12"; armpit to armpit: about 15"; length: about 18". Great signs of authentic wear: a bit of age toning on front, along with small hole at the neckline. Some age spots in the back. Basically in strong, stable condition.
